I got home a little while ago from the gf's house in Bedford Hills, NY. I was tempted to go take the train into Manhattan, call Jon, Sundaygirl, et al, but decided that it would be a lot easier to sit on the couch & read 'Blink', instead of putting on pants and actually DOING something. I read and she graded papers for her 8th grade physics class (who, btw, take physics in 8th fucking grade?), and I realized that perhaps it wouldn't be such a bad idea to move back to NY. Not Manhattan or anything, but still. I'm just SAYIN'.
Speaking of Jon, I spoke with him on Thursday night and had seen the continental.com Cheap Fare from NYC to VT just hours before he called. I told him that the dyke bar down the street from me, which just so happens to be the last gay bar left in the Green Mountain State, was closing to reopen as a Papa John's pizza place & their last night in business was on Saturday night. Sure, it would be fun to have Jon in town and go get drinks for free for an entire night, but then again, given the fact that Jon would be in town for a night of free drinks made us both realize that once again, for health and safety reasons, it's best that I wasn't in town.
No more gay bars in the GMS. What the fuck is up with THAT? Not like it matters in VT because you can't swing a drunk Australian without hittting gay a gay person.
On the upside, maybe this will be an opportunity to buy halfway decent pizza up here. You have no idea what I endure.
I made it home from NY in 4 hours & 7 minutes, which might be a new record. I arrived to yet another rainy day, making today Day 27 of rain. No wonder everyone is so fucked up.
xo,
Papa Swan
