Well, well, well. After 18 months, I finally got my home computer fixed, so I'm back on d-land.

Given the fact that I live in Vermont, not much has happened. The only things worth noting are that I got laid off from my jobby job at General Dynamics, but I start my new job on November 28 & I have the best girlfriend in the whole world. Her name is Mckenzie and up until September, she lived in VT but took a teaching position in Bedford Hills, NY at a private school, teaching science to smelly 8th greaders. We're doing the long distance thing for now & she comes to VT every other weekend, so it's managable right now. She's smart and funny and cute as hell, so I consider myself one lucky bitch.

Oh, the only other thing that has happened in Swan's Little Life is that I moved out of the goddamn boondocks and live in Burlington now. I had enough of all that quiet and nature and serenity. I needed to move to a town that actually had people in it and there's stuff to do. I like it here. The only negative part is that my therapist and I belong to the same gym and so far I've seen her naked twice. It's more than a little unsettling. She says hi to me when she sees me in the locker room and I tend to avert my eyes and mumble hello. I think I'm going to tell her at my appointment tomorrow that if she sees me at the gym, she needs to either not say hello or at at the very least, put her tits away before she engages me in conversation. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Tonight I'm meeting up with some of my old co-workers. I like them, but I think I'll get there a little bit later than the rest of them so I don't have to endure the whole "You know what I hate about work" conversation. There will be a few of us there that got let go, so maybe we can start our own conversation about how we're actually making more money than the suckers who are still employed there since we can collect unemployment on top of our severence pay. God bless the department of labor.

More later. I have a lot of catching up to do with some of your diaries.
