It snowed on Thursday and Friday, so me and my dog stayed at my sister's house so I'd have a shorter commute to work. I finally had fancy snow tires with metal studs put on my car, just in time for the storm. I took it slow on the interstate and was freaked out by the number of cars that spun out and ended up in a ditch all upside down on the side of the road. I counted 10 cars and then decided that I should focus on my own driving instead. I got to my sister's house safe & sound and I only have to deal with this sort of weather for another 6 months. Fantastic.
I relaxed last night, which was needed and I'm trying to phase out the negative people in my life & take care of myself. I rented some movies, made dinner, sprawled out on the couch and fell asleep around 9. At first I thought I was being lame because I didn't go to a dinner thing that my friend Jenn invited me to, but when I woke up this morning I realized that it feels pretty good to wake up early on a Sunday morning & not smell like party. I've been working out like a maniac lately and that always makes me want to avoid putting bad things into my body, be it animal, vegetable or lesbian. Just sayin'.
Tomorrow is statewide Coffee Day in Vermont, which means that a lot of places are giving out free coffee to their customers. It's a strange thing to do and it's doubly strange that everyone's talking about it and it was the lead story on the news tonight. Bunch of weirdos.
